They are a textile/fabric company based in Fukui since 1967. Having strong networks with other companies/craftsmen such as textile wholesales, sewing, and dyeing craftsmen.
Kawashima Orimono
Established in 1843 in Kyoto Japan.
They have techniques on traditional manual sewing and also by machine. Planning/design, weaving, plying, dying etc all procedures are done in their factory, which is extraordinary. (Usually other textile companies outsource to different companies)
They aren’t making only drapes, also obi (kimono band around tummy), drop curtain or floor carpet etc. One of their decorative fabrics is preserved in Smithsonian Museum. Some of their clients are W Hotel Osaka, Tokyo Tower, Waseda Univ, Sheraton Hotel Nagoya, Kabuki-za, and more.
